Philosophy

Nobody understands your difficulties better than you. You are an expert on your lived experiences and my goal is to simply assist you in navigating these experiences. Together, my hope is that we can create solutions, develop coping strategies, make sense of your difficulties through psychoeducation, and get you to a place where you feel independent, confident, and competent when dealing with life's challenges.

My background in neuroscience provides me with the ability to view mental health difficulties through a unique lens, with a strong understanding of the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence thoughts and behaviours.

I recognize that a foundational component to creating change in your life hinges on your ability to feel comfortable in the counselling setting. I am allied and non-judgmental, and I hope to provide you with an environment that helps you to feel safe and respected.
